  • Magic! Love her!
  • I love movies that have myth and magic wove in. While looking through movie trailers I found this little gem called, "Ondine." Here's the synopsis from the official website:

ONDINE is the story of Syracuse, a simple fisherman who catches a beautiful and mysterious woman in his trawler's nets. The woman seems to be dead, but then she comes alive before Syracuse's eyes and he thinks he may be seeing things. However, with the help of his ailing, yet irrepressible daughter, Annie, he comes to believe that the fantastical might be possible and that the woman (Ondine) might be a myth come true. Ondine and Syracuse fall passionately in love, but just as we think the fairytale might go on forever, the real world intercedes. Then, after a terrible car crash and the return of a dark and violent figure from Ondine's past, hope eventually prevails and a new beginning is presented to Syracuse, Ondine and Annie.

This movie was released in June but I'm still going to hype it. Here's the trailer:

  • stevie

B: Stevie Nicks is essential to my existence. I haven't listened to her in 6 years until yesterday, when I found her cds tucked away at my parent's house. Stevie is wild and invokes magic with her voice and songs... and she has a special place in my heart. I found this unreleased track that's just gorgeous. Have a listen.

  • Stunning short film by Süperfad Seattle, directed by David Viau.

“Preguntas Hermosas,” is a poetic story of time shared and love lost, told through a combination of “Poema X” by Pablo Neruda and “Under the Harvest Moon” by Carl Sandburg. It unfolds in three parts: a fond remembrance, loss, and then finally acceptance.
  • Fellow artist and friend, Alexia Lalande, is a mad scientist when it comes to puppetry, illustration and animation. Her work is absolutely breathtaking so I'm hyping her up! View her animations here.
