Think Out Loud Productions is a video production company that specializes in independent films and documentaries. TOLP was recently established by my friend and photographer, Justin Wirtalla and it's obvious that his photographic eye has translated seamlessly to film with his beautiful compositions and exquisite use of color. Check it.

Robbin Waldemar, is the brainchild of Robbin Ingvarsson and Waldemar Wegelin who met at the amazing Swedish interactive media school Hyper Island. They've come up with this simple but immensely creative commercial for the "More with Google" brand campaign in Japan. I love it!

Fast-paced rhymes accompanied by a sick blend of illustration and stop-motion make Todor & Petru by The Thunderclaps a killer music video. This piece was created by students from the French visual art school, Gobelins and they did an amazing job. Personally, I think this form of videography would make the best live-action anime movie.

Christopher Lyles is a local CT artist (Simsbury, to be accurate) and he draws some pretty kick ass shit. Everybody should take the time to look at it. Do it. Now. This isn't an option.

Wojciech Kołacz from Wrocław, Poland creates beautiful sculptures (they look like nesting dolls) and tucks them away within trees and hidden alcoves, adding an element of whimsy and charm to an otherwise normal landscape. I think they're so magical. I want one!

One day Jarbas Agnelli was reading his newspaper when he saw a picture of birds on electric wires which immediately fascinated him. He noticed that the positions of the birds looked like a piece of musical notation. He set about recreating the melody based on where the birds were perched.

He contacted the photographer who had taken the original picture who was also intrigued by the music. He informed his Editor and the whole idea was turned in to a story in the newspaper. Agnelli, spurred on, then created this animation with the photo, the music and the score.

We love Nature ... Nature is perfect.

So for a long time I've had this running character of a little girl in a dinosaur hat. The Dinosaur's name was Diny, and so was the girl, and sometimes she was depicted as just a dinosaur, or as a little girl in a dinosaur hat. So guess what, I made one.

I've been wanting to post this illustrator for a while but somehow that didn't happen until now. Ryan is a graduate from Hartford Art School and is an amazing illustrator who specializes in hand lettering. I got the chance to see his Antique Road Show poster up close and personal at this years CADC Award Show and it was gorgeous! Oh, and I want one of his custom birdhouses... I'm not a I-want-a-birdhouse kinda girl, but I will take a Ryan O'Rourke custom painted birdhouse any day.

"Unbearable Lightness" by Dutch designer Tomáš Gabzdil Libertiny. Libertiny created a laser sintered mold of Jesus that was placed inside a glass case. When put on display, 40,000 worker bees were released inside the case and the honeycombs they created on the surface of the mold finalized the structure. Isn't this amazing?! As you've noticed from our blog, a+b have recently fallen into a fangirl obsession with the wonderful television show known as Supernatural. I, dubbed cleverly as A (that's me! the dinosaur!), have recently decided to start creating Supernatural portraits. I've started first with Dean Winchester who is my favorite character by only a smidgen above all the other wonderful characters of Eric Kripke's wonderful, zany world. This is a work in progress, and I'm taking suggestions, although I'm known to do whatever the hell I want anyways. Above is what I started out with, and below is where I've arrived as of tonight.

This series of eight photographs depicts the duality of nature; an embodiment of Life and Death, watching and feeling herself be destroyed.
